Common questions
Things people ask before booking.
How much does plastering cost?
It depends on the room, the wall condition and the finish. A small skim might be a few hundred pounds; a full re-render or EWI job runs into the thousands. We give a written quote after a free site visit — no estimates over the phone, no surprises after.
How quickly can I get a quote?
Free, in writing, within 48 hours of a site visit. We book site visits around your schedule — no obligation to proceed.
Where do you work?
We’re based in Coventry and cover Warwickshire — Leamington Spa, Warwick, Rugby, Kenilworth, Southam, Bedworth, Nuneaton and the surrounding villages. If you’re close, ask. See the full coverage area →
What hours do you work?
Monday to Saturday, 8am–6pm. Call 07468 598780, send a WhatsApp, or use the contact form — we’ll come back within one working day.
Do you do residential and commercial?
Both. We work on homes, landlords’ properties and commercial sites across Coventry and Warwickshire.
What systems do you use for external rendering?
Silicone is our default — flexible, weatherproof and self-cleaning. We also do monocouche and sand-and-cement on request.
Do you do colour-matched render?
Yes — silicone render comes in a wide range of standard colours, and we can match a sample on request. Bring us a swatch or a photo of the neighbouring property and we’ll spec it.
Can you remove pebbledash before rendering?
Yes — pebbledash removal is part of our specialist work. Have a look at The Oaks on the work page for an example.
What plaster do you use for internal work?
Pink plaster — Thistle Multi-Finish — for paint-ready walls and ceilings. We mesh-reinforce where dissimilar surfaces meet (brick to plasterboard, for example) so cracks don’t telegraph through later.
What’s the difference between dot & dab and traditional plastering?
Dot & dab is plasterboard adhered direct to masonry — no studwork, no wet plaster waiting to dry. Faster than traditional wet plastering and usable in days rather than weeks. We can tape-and-joint for paint, or skim for a smoother finish.
Can I get insulation as part of dot & dab?
Yes. We use insulation-backed boards when you want a thermal upgrade in the same step — same dot-and-dab method, but the boards add an insulation layer.
How long does plaster take to dry?
Skim coats are usually paint-ready in 4–7 days depending on the room and the season. We’ll tell you on the day what to expect.
Do you tidy up at the end of each day?
Yes. Sheets down, dust contained, brushed up at the end of every day. You’ll barely know we were there.
Can I see your previous work before booking?
Yes. Browse the work page for finished jobs across Coventry and Warwickshire — bungalow renders, EWI projects, internal plastering, garden walls and extensions.
Do you offer guarantees?
Internal plaster is guaranteed against cracking when used as specified. External render and EWI systems carry the manufacturer’s warranty in addition to our workmanship — typically 10–25 years depending on the system.
