Who we are

CPS Plastering & Rendering is a Coventry-based plastering, rendering and external wall insulation business. We are the “data controller” for any personal data you give us through this website.

What data we collect

The only personal data we actively collect is what you choose to give us:

• Contact form — your name, email, phone (optional), postcode (optional) and the message you write. Submitted via Web3Forms, our form processor, who forwards it to sales@cpsplastering.co.uk.
• Direct contact — if you call, send a WhatsApp message or email us, we’ll have whatever details you share in that conversation.

Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs that include visitor IP addresses, browser type and pages visited. These are typical for any web server and used only to keep the site working.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a free site visit
• To send you a written quote
• To follow up about a job we’re carrying out for you
• To keep records as required by UK tax and contract law

Lawful basis (UK GDPR)

We rely on the following lawful bases:

• Consent — when you choose to fill in the contact form or message us directly
• Contractual necessity — when we’re carrying out plastering or rendering work for you
• Legitimate interests — to keep the website working, to respond to enquiries, and to keep our own business records

Who we share data with

We use a small number of third-party providers to run the website and contact form:

• Web3Forms (Astrolabs Inc., USA) — processes contact form submissions and forwards them to our email. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.
• Hostinger — hosts the website and handles standard web traffic.
• Google Fonts — when you load any page, your browser fetches fonts from Google’s CDN. Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. We use Google Fonts under our legitimate interest in clean typography. See Google’s privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else. We do not use it for marketing.

International transfers

Web3Forms and Google Fonts are US-based services. By using our contact form or loading any page, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Both providers commit to GDPR-compliant data handling under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

• Contact form messages and emails — kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and follow up on any work, then archived for up to 7 years to meet UK tax and contract record-keeping requirements.
• Server logs — kept by Hostinger per their standard retention (typically a few weeks).

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set any cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no advertising tags, no behavioural tracking of any kind. Your visit is private.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Have it corrected if it’s wrong
• Have it deleted (the “right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to how we use it
• Have it sent to another provider in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

To make any of these requests, email sales@cpsplastering.co.uk with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We’ll respond within one calendar month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we’ll update this page and bump the date below. Any major change will be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
